Please take the time to read everything below.
GENERAL RULES
1. If there is any type of issue in the game, Hosts have final say in the matter. There are 3 of us, specifically, to make sure there can always be a majority in any ruling. If you're unhappy, please private message or contact us on Aim, and express your concerns or rebuttals. 99% of the time we will be firm with our decision, but we will most definitely keep an open mind.
2. R-E-S-P-E-C-T (find out what it means to me) everyone, including the Hosts, Prediction Writers, and your fellow players. You don't have to like everyone, or anyone here, for that matter, but we do expect you to treat everyone the same way you like to be treated. This game is meant to be fun.
3. Please do not accuse the staff of rigging the game for certain players. This game is pre-planned, and 90% of it has already been pre-written with the exception of certain challenges which we can't prepare for in advance.
4. We will not tolerate any type of cheating! No doing challenges for other people, no having other people do challenges for you, no using Photoshop to better your scores, etc. If it can be proven that you cheated in a challenge, we will remove you from the game.
5. In the event a player leaves the game outside of Tribal Council (they quit, they were removed, etc.), Tribal Council will be cancelled for that round. So yes, if Bob is on Team A and quits the game, and Team B just happens to be going to Tribal Council, congratulations Team B, you all live to see another day! Curse me if you wish, (or thank you me if this happens and you are at the bottom of your alliance). Because everything has been pre-planned, it is very important for each round to start off with the number of players we imagined. The person that unexpectedly leaves will take the place of the next person to be voted out, and be sent to Pre-Jury. If this happens during the Jury phase, then the last Pre-Juror will be bumped to Jury status.
6. This season, Cross-Tribe talking is NOT allowed. You are only allowed to speak to the players on your tribe. In the event of a Tribe Swap, please don't speak with your former tribemates. Since we can't moderate the interaction between everyone here, we'll be using the honor system
7. One thing I will be a stickler on is the "ALIAS" rule we uphold (and I say, "I", because Mindy and Britney's view on this may differ). I believe as players, we should be able to sign up for new games/new series without our ORG past coming back to haunt us, which is why I STRONGLY encourage everyone to do their best to play alias. I never care about how he did, or how many games she won, or who he previously worked with, or why she murdered her mom, blahblahblah, and neither should you. It can definitely make things interesting, realizing that your enemy in one game turned out to be your best ally in the next. The expectation here is for everyone to not reveal their identity to other players they may know from another game. Sadly, the reality is that some people are just really good at playing detective. Some people will just ignore this. And some people are just nosy Yes, the ORG community is small, and chances are very likely you will be playing with several people you may know from other games, but I strongly-strongly-strongly encourage you refrain from revealing yourself! Secondly, you are free to speculate on your own who you think everyone is, but please do not discuss what you think is the real identity of players with others, and do not publicly put people on blast if it may compromise their identity from previous games. You can pick fights and arguments with other players as much as you want, but if I sense the motives behind your actions are personal, then you will be addressed. If you are in violation, consequences may be issued based on how serious we find the matter to be, and can range from receiving a penalty vote at the next Tribal Council you attend, revoking an Idol you might have, publicly shaming you, removing you from the game, etc. Harsh consequences, yes, but you can avoid them simply by keeping all of your thoughts to yourself. I will be taking this rule very seriously because I think it's important for people to play as fair of a game as they can. While I can't police everyone in this game and while I can't guarantee your identity will be 100% safe from other players, I can promise that I will do my best to give a very fair ruling if Mindy, Britney, and myself all agree that you were wrongfully exposed. Likewise, if you feel your identity has been compromised and have "proof" (screen shots of conversations, etc.) to back it up, please contact one of us and we will discuss the problem as a threesome. I personally believe I give fair, unbiased opinions and decisions, but for those that beg to differ, that's why there are 3 of us
8. This is basically the same thing as the last rule, but I'm repeating myself because I can -- leave any personal problems you may have with another player OUTSIDE of this game. What happened in another game happened in another game. You wouldn't want to be unfairly targeted for something you did in another game, so extend that same courtesy to other players you may not be on good terms with. Be the bigger person!
9. Don't hate the players. Hate the game. The game of Survivor itself, not this series, lol.
TRIBAL COUNCIL
Votes: Tribal Council will begin shortly once results of the previous Immunity Challenge have been posted, and will always, at the minimum, last 24 hours. Please use the parchment provided in your Confessionals to vote. In the event you are unable to use the parchment, please type in your vote in the appropriate thread, and we will create a generic parchment for you. You are allowed to change your vote as many times as you wish, but please make a new post each time you change your vote. If you just edit your initial vote, there is a chance one of us may not notice it.
Self-Votes: If you fail to cast a vote and don't have a bootlist set up, then you will receive a self-vote. If you receive two or more self-votes in a row, then you will be removed from the game.
Bootlists: Please make sure you have an updated bootlist at the beginning of each round. Your bootlist will be used in the event you are unable to formally state who your vote is for at Tribal Council, if you forget, won't be home in time, etc. Please make sure it's clear who you want voted off first. If it's not, we will assume the person at the top of your bootlist is the person you want out.
Ties: In the event of a tie at Tribal Council, there will be a re-vote. If a tie persists, then those that received a vote will be Immune and everyone else (besides anyone that may have individually won Immunity) will pick colored rocks, and whoever picks the off-color rock will be voted off. There will be NO tiebreaker challenge, unless a tie occurs at the Final 4. Please note that in the event of a tie, the following Immunity Challenge may be pushed back a day to accommodate the extra voting time.
HIDDEN IMMUNITY IDOLS
If you have a Hidden Immunity Idol and you wish to play it, you must create a new post in the Voting History thread in your Confessionals and state that you wish to do so. Doing it anywhere else will not count. You have until 15 minutes before the Tribal Council deadline to decide whether or not to play your Idol.
You can play your Idol on another tribemate. Do so by stating in the Voting History thread in your Confessionals who you are playing your Idol on. You have until 15 minutes before the Tribal Council deadline to decide whether or not to play your Idol.
You can give your Idol to another tribemate. Do so by stating in the Voting History thread in your confessionals who you are giving your Idol to.
PRE-JURY AND JURY PHASE
Once you're voted out of the game, you're allowed to keep in touch with anyone you wish, but please don't discuss the game with people that are still in it. You will be able to vent your frustrations or gloat about your time in either the Pre-Jury or Jury thread, based on your placement.
If you're voted out during the Pre-Jury phase, please continue to be active! You may never know if there is an opportunity to get back in the game!
If you're voted out during the Jury phase, PLEASE stick around and check the boards often, as you'll be participating in the game's Finale.
CONFESSIONALS
We STRONGLY encourage you all to be active and write in your Confessionals as often as you can. From a host's point of view, we are not as heavily involved in the game as you will be, so the only insight we get is what you are all writing! Confessionals will also help us better determine the recipients at the Awards Ceremony during the Finale, and help justify who makes it as an All-Star.
ACTIVITY
Yes, we all have lives and other commitments like work, school, kids, parents, significant others, Netflix, and so forth -- but I do expect you to be somewhat active in this game, since you took the time to apply, and were among the chosen! If you are able to make it to the challenges, post in your Tribe Camp, and make the rounds on Aim so your tribemates know you're alive, and vote at Tribal Council, then GREAT! If you can do more than that, even better
If you don't log onto the boards for 48 hours or more without giving your tribemates or any of the hosts a reason why (such as traveling or studying for finals), then we will assume you're no longer interested in the game and we will remove you.
LASTLY
Have fun! At the end of the day, there's no million dollar check for the winner, just a $25 Amazon giftcard that will be emailed to the winner Spread a rumor, keep a secret, betray an ally, save a friend, gracefully dance your way to the top or destroy everyone in your path! At the end of the day, we just want you to have fun, and I hope that you can all recognize and understand that just because people may do bad things in this game, it doesn't mean they're strangling puppies in their spare time.
May the odds be ever in your favor ♥
